The Tommy Hotel Branding, Fall 2023
The Tommy is an autobiography, biography, and memoir inspired boutique hotel located in an old library in Chicago, Illinois. As a partner team, we created the identity and multiple different touch points for the brand. The name was inspired by Thomas Hughes, an English Parliamentarian, who donated books to the Chicago public library after the Great Chicago fire of 1871. Throughout the design, we combined historical and modern design with a creative spunk.
Crystal Bridges Direct Mail, Spring 2024
This piece of direct mail celebrates “A Slice of Life”, a retrospective art show at Crystal Bridges. The mailer uses bright colors and playful subject matter to capture the spirit of Thiebaud’s work. The mail folds into a small bakery counter, reminding the reader to renew their membership and make them excited to see the special exhibit.
The Giver Book Series, Spring 2024
This book cover redesign is inspired by the interwoven stories told by Lois Lowry in the classic Giver series. Through color choice and imagery, the book designs communicate key aspects of each story. When shown together, the series visually connects, much like the true experience of reading the books.
Bushel and Peck Menu Design, Fall 2023
Bushel and Peck is a Southern Restaurant inspired by family recipes and the art deco style. This hypothetical design is inspired by the art deco style of art as well as my own family’s southern roots.
Colca Canyon Artisan Chocolate, Fall 2023
This artisan chocolate packaging is inspired by the culture and nature of Peru and the scenery and spirit of Asheville, North Carolina. The packaging features three different flavors, identified in color and illustration. The design of the package opens to reveal another layer of illustration, communicating the vision of the company.
Get Down Downtown Design, Spring 2023
This is a hypothetical design for the Get Down Downtown music festival in Searcy, Arkansas. This project has a typographical focus, drawing on design elements from old motels, with a focus on a young adult audience.
Graphic Design Minor Poster, Fall 2023
The prompt was to create a poster to encourage students at Harding University to Minor in Graphic Design . This particular design relates to my travel to Egypt, as well as pop culture.
